It's now 8:42 PM (according to my Mac) on a day 6 years ago was landmark in time for our generation... Yup, September 11.

I know it's already September 12 over there where y'alls are as I'm writing this, but I just wanted to put in a little reminder what happened this day 6 years ago. Ashamedly, I didn't even remember what day it was until a random scholar said the date out loud. But today, the war still rages on.

Now enough of the cynical depressed English major! "Michelle" a.k.a Shu Hui reminded me that I have yet to describe my current living conditions. =) I live in a 2-room "condo" apartment, with a girl whose father owns the apartment; I'm gonna have a new roommate come October. It is about 20 steps away from the pool (I counted) and maybe 10 to the laundry room. Very awesome!

I have 3 animals for protection -- a half pitbull/half lab mix (Bagheera), a barky chihuahua (Napoleon) and a declawed furry cat of unknown origin (Valentine). I think the new roommate is gonna add a Persian kitty to the mix because her family breeds them (she's Persian, haha). But so far life has been good, I'm headed up to San Francisco via roadtrippin! before school starts. My digicam is broke right now, so when I get it up again I'll post pics!

I hope you are all having a good school term, I will try and bring back presents for you alls! =)

Dying but still Alive...

Heya peeps! The past week had been a really hectic week for me, with a few more deadlines than usual. And guess what? I've been putting weight like nobody's business coz i skip my trainings from time to time coz of my endless projects... Haiz. I'm officially 52KG now. Darn heavy sia... =.= To think I was 30plus in my secondary school days... (so long ago) :( Oh well... Glad to see you gals are still all well and healthy overseas. Heh. Wonder when's the next time we all can gather again?

Modules I've been taking this sem are supposed to be the hardest of the lot. So I'm still learning how to survive it. I'm taking news writing, TV studio production, advertising, media management, media research methods and drama and poetry. Hah. Sorry if I'm boring you gals.

Hah.. And I've been helping out at this competition organised by Mediacorp. Heh.. It's "Live your Dream"... Something like Singapore Idol lah... but only for people 25 and above. Hah. Learnt quite a bit there... But this line's definitely harder than I thought. :/ Barely surviving this sem. Hah.

Shu Hui... I just extracted my Wisdom Tooth this morning too! =( The extraction process was ok, but the aftermath... I mean after the anesthesia went off... omg.. very the painful! Ying Fong dear, if your wisdom tooth isn't giving you problem, think thrice before going for extraction (even though it's only €10). For me, it was supposed to just be normal teeth check up.. until yesterday night acute pain set in from my naughty wisdom tooth, which lasted till this morning. The dentist saw and was like.. the rest of the teeth are ok, but this one.. VERY BAD.. Gefährlich!.. so I was directed to another dentist some 4 U Bahn stations away for extraction..

It's still so swellischh.... now... =(

Hi guys! I dunno about visiting you all, because of $$$ issues... I was planning on going home after Summer classes but we shall see... My friend Jennifer also invited me to go Hong Kong to shop, eat, shop, eat.... haha remember the ad?

Anyways, I am currently in Riverside, California. It's a desert (literally) and goes up to about 40C in the summer. I can't wait *rolls eyes*. At least this will be only until I graduate, then I will move back down to sunny San Diego, where there is the best weather! =D

I really, really want to go explore Europe, but I wanna hitchhike!!! Anyone up for it? ;-) But you guys can visit me anytime, no matter where I am I will house you and feed you and (try to) bring you around.

Last week before exams for Yiling and perhaps almost or already over for Shu Hui and Sing Pei and Peggy, well school has just begin for me here in Technical University of Munich. First week and 3rd day of school. I have went to quite a few wrong classrooms and end up late or only to realize that the lecture only starts next week or even missed the lecture! Quite screwed I would say, but well, that´s just the first week, I will make sure it gets better =) So fast, so fast, almost 4 months have flied by. My internship has ended and School has started.. and before I even know, I will be back in Singapore! OMG.. =) Really miss you girls and the other people, but seriously, haa... I hope I can stay here longer... Please continue to keep me away from R E A L I T Y! Leider... so, I´m waiting for my Spannish lesson later at .. 4.30pm.. still another 3 hours to go... think I will study and translate my german lectures for the while.. and surf internet and listen to music.. It really feels good to be connected back online... unlike in my old hostel in Stuttgart, like back in the 80´s or something...

I am sitting in my class English 20B -- Introduction to American Literary Tradition. It is 12 degrees Celsius outside. Abit nippy, but not enough to need more than a Christmas layer of green t-shirt and red SDSU hoodie. Today, we also have author Le Thi Diem Thuy of the autobiography The Gangster We Are All Looking For in class to speak on her autobio.

I'm blogging because she doesn't really need my eyes for me to listen to her. And I know that it's past Valentine's Day for you guys over there, but still...

me and yiling booked the wishlist item of the prison break already.. (and i've told shu hui.. me and my big mouth..) who ask someone to post her wish list so late.. when the limited edition of the 4 vcds and dvd version of sun yan zi (only 3000 pieces in whole of asia) has been sold out... and e last i saw.. the cd version has only 1 piece left in sembawang.. wonder if shu hui will go and buy it st after reading this..

btw harry potter 7th book is coming out in july 21.. and i've finished my entire set of the first 6 books.. hee.. the mini potter lib is now asking for the donation of the last and final book while offering to let you (e gals) any of the first 6..

HaLLo=)It started snowing (very heavily) like 2 days ago (now's all mild.. but still cold. but I guess I'm getting use to the temperature here too!), and I made a weird looking snowman (cos only have head).. haa.. no choice, cos the snow was fresh and doesn't stick.. so I can't have a proper one. No tools, aka, tree branches, leaves etc, with me at that time too.. I only had my ear muffs available. So, dedicating this snowman to u girls =) Take care and take your vitamin Cs k. Okay, so I was reminded of this Blogger thingiemajigger like 30 minutes ago by Shu Hui. So Shu Hui, in honour of your reminder, this first blog by me in 2007 is gonna be dedicated to YOU.

Playing Neopets' Destruct-O-Match while trying to extrude coherent thoughts is not as easy as I make it look. Hahaha :p Anyways, to keep this first one short (like lessons on the first day of school), I have a boyfriend now.

Despite all the numerous exploits I've been through with him in about half a year, we decided to try and make a go of things. So I see him nearly every weekend now. On Saturday I went to 九份 (nine portions..haha), it's really pretty with all the old streets on the mountain. Very nice atmosphere. As usual, I'll post food here due to overwhelming public response (keke..) This is a MUST EAT! This shop is the best there. This is actually the 3 time up there and 2 time eating it. The shop has a very nice view for us to sit to enjoy both the food and the view.. The name of the food.. you can see from the picture. Yum yumm! Super Q !!!

Strongly recommended: ***** (5 stars)

Anyway, I counted, I'm left with just about 3 weeks in taiwan.. so fast.. I'll be BACK. I want to sing song!!!

The weather in Taiwan has been very passionate, in fact, very passionate and hot. So much so that it keeps making my skin drool (perspire) at the sight of it. How's the weather in Singapore? I feel that Taiwan's currently much hotter than in Singapore. Ya, so yesterday I went to the famous xi men ding 西門町.. it was so hot that we went to have this (in picture)! yum* YUm* pink= strawberry, white= milk, beach=mixture of fruits. They have 73 flavours of ice creams, including chilli, wasabii, pork, beef.. omg.. well, we weren't that daring enough to try, just in case we waste out money.. haa.. but I might just return again when I feel daring enough..

HeyOZZz!!! Hahah... I'm like sick but i still went for my kickboxing just now anyway, guess all the sweating makes me feel better actually. Hah... *cough cough* Opps... Went to Kao Xiong over the weekend. food eaten: Ice Cream in a Shell! Very nice!! =) For NT50 (S$2.40), you get to choose 2 things to add to your 冰(1 ball of ice cream included). FOr this picture, I chose Fruits & Strawberry (whole fruit), and they gave me a strawberry flavoured ice cream~ The Utensils are made of shells too~ Serving looks small in this picture, but actually quite big Feeling beachy...

yiling~~shu hui~~ *paiseh, must be i 眼花了 from staring at 2 coms whole day* dear.. where did u extract ur wisdom tooth? Why did u extract them? Is it because it hurts? Mine hurt abit when growing, but now that it's growth has stablized, it doesn't hurt anymore.. BUT, it's not in line with the rest of my teeth. It's like half a tooh out of the whole row. Do you think I should extract it out too?

Count yourself lucky, I went to eat Lu Rou Fan yesterday with my brother for dinner @ 鬍鬚張..so you get to drool at the rice~ The bowl of rice at the bottom of the picture is the Lu Rou Fan. The soup is Si Shen Tang (4 gods soup *hahaa*) then the other bowl of rice is Ji Rou Fan (chicken Rice) and the u know what's the red meat~
But seriously, I recommend not to eat Lu Rou Fan in these kind of places (aka small aircon places), cos it's like NT6 more expansive than the ones I ate at non-aircon vendors, costing only NT20!! (s$1)

hey gers... haven't blogged here for a while... aniwae, i've been rotting at home during the hols, except for a short 4 day work stint. just had my wisdom tooth extracted on mon.. so can't talk much nowadays... hopefully it'll heal real soon cuz i realli need to eat gd food!!! it was one of the most scary experiences EVER!!! xinli's beef noodles looks so tempting...i want ru rou fan!! yum yum... trying to look for a job now cuz i'm realli broke..hehe..shdn't waste my hols away doing nthg too..let's meet up soon?? realli wished you were back earlier xinli... wld have posted up a gory photo of my wisdom tooth.. but the dentist din give it to mi.. so u pple are spared the agony..hehe.. haven't been doing anything much except watching lots of dramas on youtube.. so do jio mi out k.. this is moi signing out... cheerios!

I'm having conflicting thoughts of time passing faster so that I can be back soon. Kind of miss u all.. *cut the sappy thoughts* Hope everyone's enjoy whatever they are doing, sp with her intern, peg with schooling, yf with work.. wats the others doing? *scratch head* Well, on Sunday, I went to eat this Beef Noodle. The shop looks super old and says that they are 20 years old, Lao3 Dian4 (old shop). So I went in to buy.. actually I think it's quite nice. Just that I had asked to Da Pao (take away) and after 15mins of walk home, the noodles were abit soggy le.. *sigh* The beef's good though!! But then, the soup abit too salty. Did I mention the Taiwanese prefer to eat with stronger taste? At least that's the case for food you find outside. I miss my mum's cooking.

I have an idea, maybe we should gather together one day and just cook for ourselves! =) Sunddely this idea reminds me of Yujie.. her sleepover idea. K.. take care girls.. I'm still in office though.. heard that if I OT after 7.30pm, I get like NT80 (S$4) more *lumpsum*.. haa.. so little nonetheless..

met up with peggy and sing pei on sat tat's how i got to know about our revamped website.. thanks shu hui.. and when peg saw my blog and the gender of the brain thing.. she went berserk and tried most of the tests on the website trying to ascertain the fact that she is indeed a male brain.. while sing pei was trying to do the opposite until they finally did found a test named 'how boyish or girlish are you' that tells them the exact ans they want.. think they need counselling..

let's do things by leaving comments or blogging since tag board is always spammed.. mine is also in the process hope the clubber just go away with his or her clubbing competitiion.. i'm NOT interested.. anyway if you need dun have to request for another one.. i have quite a few tag boards.. under various emails of mine.. i can go dig them out to put here..=)

Hands up, those who bother coming round this blog every weekend. None? As much as i expected. This place has been in a state of neglect since we updated the last -- let's see, 6 months? I am so guilty.
